Man as a human being, cannot live without religion because it is intrinsic in his nature. One cannot isolate religion from the life situation. But it is not an easy task to define religion in a single sentence that will include all its features and coincide with everyone's meaning for it. The principal problem is that most of the writers have defined religion to mean their own religion. However, it is a fact that there is no other word as the religion that is so repeatedly on the lips of men. Various attempts have been made to define religion. They are rendered difficult by the great variety of phases that religion has assumed. Many definitions of religion reflect bias, depending on the author and the audience that it is written for (Cline, 2017).
